Frequently asked questions
Can DocGovernance prove admissibility in court?
DocGovernance generates tamper-evident cryptographic evidence that supports authentication and chain-of-custody review. It does not guarantee admissibility in any specific court or jurisdiction — that determination is procedural and depends on applicable rules of evidence. Counsel should verify before submission. DocGovernance is not a law firm.
What file types are supported?
PDFs are fully supported today. Additional file types (Office documents, images, signed agreements) are on the roadmap. If you need support for a specific format, contact us.
Can bundles be verified without DocGovernance?
Yes — that's a core design requirement. Every court bundle contains an offline HTML verifier that runs in any browser and a Node.js CLI verifier. No server, no internet, no DocGovernance installation required.
Is there a free trial?
Contact us to arrange a structured pilot. We prefer design-partner pilots over unstructured trials for legal and compliance tooling — it lets us ensure you're getting value for your specific use case.
Do you offer a DPA for GDPR compliance?
Yes — a GDPR Article 28-compliant Data Processing Addendum is available for Business and Enterprise customers. Contact sales to request it.
